The new organization will combine Teradata’s current customer support and service organization with its customer success function, integrating all activities of customer service and support, consulting and managed services, and customer training.

The company has appointed Michael Hutchinson, currently Teradata’s Customer Success Manager, to the newly created role of Chief Customer Officer to lead the organization. As part of this organizational realignment, Daniel Harrington, current Director of Services, will be leaving the company.

Hutchinson joined Teradata in June 2021 as Senior Vice President of Global Customer Success, Consulting and Renewals, responsible for defining the company’s global customer success strategy, maximization and documenting the business value realized by customers and achieving a world-class net promoter score, retention and extension of use cases. Prior to joining Teradata, he worked at Verint, including as Director of Customer Service, where he led the delivery of all aftermarket services for cloud operations and security, customer success, professional services, product support and managed services. Prior to that, Hutchinson worked at Oracle for nearly 30 years in a number of roles of increasing responsibility, culminating as Global Vice President, Customer Success for North America. Hutchinson holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Kansas.
