“Some people might see that person was an infantryman, but what does that mean in the civilian world if you’re looking for, say, a technical job?” said Mike Del Prado, president of the Charlie Mike Foundation. “You know leadership skills, time management, the ability to deal with difficult situations, so these are essential qualities that accompany a veteran, no matter what he has done in the service. the basis that every employer is looking for.

“The reason I’m doing this workshop to translate those skills, put them into words that the civilian workforce could interpret, is that I struggled to put what I did into words. in the military,” veteran Daniel Escobedo said. “Military terminology is much more difficult than civilian terminology, like executive versus officer, supervisor, you really have to find the right words and it goes a long way.
