Girl Scouts seek local business and organization partnerships for 2022 cookie program – Oneida Dispatch

Central New York – As the 2022 Girl Scout Cookie Program approaches, Girl Scouts of NYPENN Pathways (GSNYPENN) is looking for area businesses and community organizations who want to help girls and troops sell their products safely and with success this season.

GSNYPENN serves Kindergarten to Grade 12 girls in Madison and Oneida counties, as well as several others in upstate New York.

The council hopes to reach out to businesses and organizations across the region in high traffic areas to allow troops to host drive-through cookie kiosks, as well as those who would like to host traditional walk-in kiosks. . Troops also need secure indoor locations for storing and picking up cookie stocks. Places like empty storefronts, unoccupied offices, etc.

“We want to help our Girl Scouts have another safe and successful cookie program by connecting with the communities we serve to host drive-thru booths and provide locations for traditional booths and logistics. Despite the continuing pandemic, our daughters are enjoying the normalcy this program offers, ”said Ray Mulno, director of retail operations and product programs at GSNYPENN.

The 2022 cookie program will run from January 11 to March 27. Annual fundraiser helps troops fuel Girl Scout activities for the year through experiences such as community service, top-rated projects, badge work, summer camp, travel and more , all while the girls are gaining important entrepreneurial and life skills, officials say. The product (after paying the baker) remains local and is also used to maintain GSNYPENN’s properties and programs for its daughter and adult members throughout the year, officials say.

Girl Scouts would need to use any location from mid-February to the end of March. GSNYPENN will provide insurance information for businesses and organizations. Those who can help will receive advertising through the Girl Scout Cookie Finder app and website, council social media, and local advertising for cookie season, which in turn helps attract additional customers to these local businesses and locations, officials said.

If your business or organization can assist the Local Girl Scouts during cookie season, please contact Ray Mulno at [email protected] or (315) 698-9400 ext. 2022.
